Gibson is fortunate to be able to partner with several groups in the community as part of our outreach ministries. The Elite Vocal Ensemble is one that comes through Gibson’s Department of Music. While Christian-based, this is a group of young people who use music to praise and worship and reach out to people of all faiths. I have been working with them since 2018, when it was founded by musician, vocalist, and vocal professor Rachael Howard. They never cease to amaze me as they lift their voices to God. They practice at Gibson and offer their Showcases in our sanctuary, and they are a blessing to everyone who helps and who hears them. Rachel said that Elite Vocal Ensemble is currently accepting auditions for middle and high school singers!
” Elite Vocal Ensemble is a non-profit organization that performs a variety of music, ranging from traditional to contemporary and jazz-influenced music. Its mission is to promote leadership in the youth of the community and surrounding areas while providing a safe haven for young people to develop musicianship and teamwork. The ensemble creates a platform for youth to showcase their gifts and talents as young professionals.
Elite Vocal Ensemble isn’t just a singing group – it’s a platform that prepares our youth for scholarship opportunities, offers professional training, stages live performances, and opens avenues for impactful community engagement. This deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of music is evident in the tangible accomplishments of its members. The Ensemble not only fosters musical prowess but also imbues self-confidence, cultivates leadership skills, and fortifies community bonds. These invaluable experiences equip young members for future pursuits, extending the impact of the Ensemble beyond the realm of music.
If you know of any middle and high school youth who love to sing, please encourage them to submit a virtual audition for the group by visiting our newly redesigned website, www.elitevocalensemble.com, and clicking the “audition registration” button. On our website, you can find testimonials from students, parents, volunteers, and community members. You can also view past concert performances as well as student Q&A sessions with music professionals!
We are looking to have a group of 10-15 students this year! Please spread the word of our organization! Thank you so much!”
Let’s continue to lift this ministry in prayer and continue to support these young singers. I encourage everyone to look at their website. Some of the video was done at Gibson!
