To mark the Advent Season we decorated our sanctuary and chapel with our traditional magnolia leaves and granny smith green apples on the windowsills. We put up and lighted the Crismon tree, hung our door wreaths and arranged our handmade alter vestments. The royal blue ribbons and the handmade Advent candle wreath finished it off beautifully. We have such a fun day each year and remember the many members who contributed their talents and ideas over the years to what we do. The green apples last through the whole season (good reason to use them) until our first Fellowship dinner in January when our Holy Apple Crisp for dessert is another tradition we all enjoy. Come worship and praise the Lord with us this Blessed Time of the Year.
Merry Christmas from the Gibson Girls, Gay Sturgeon, President
